rod, sewer
A light metal rod, 3 to 5 feet long, with a coupling at each end. Rods are joined and pushed into a wastewater collection pipe to dislodge obstructions.

two-way cleanout
An opening in pipes designed for rodding or working a snake into the pipe in either direction. Two-way cleanouts are most often found in building lateral pipes at or near a property line.
atom
The smallest unit of a chemical element; composed of protons, neutrons, and electrons.
electromotive series
A list of metals and alloys presented in the order of their tendency to corrode (or go into solution). Also called the glavanic series. This is a practical application of the theoretical electrochemical series.
