kinetic energy
Energy possessed by a moving body of matter, such as water, as a result of its motion.
batch process
A treatment process in which a tank or reactor is filled; the water, wastewater, or solution is treated or a chemical solution is prepared; and the tank is emptied.
sewage
See wastewater.
molecular oxygen
The oxygen molecule, O2, that is not combined with another element to form a compound.
operator interface
The device at which the operator interacts with the control system. This may be an individual instrumentation and control device or the graphic screen of a computer control system. Also see human machine interface.
