dissolved air flotation (DAF)

A process to seperate solids from water. Air is dissolved into wastewater under high pressure and is then released into the bottom of the tank. Air comes out as very fine bubbles that cling to the solids and cause them to float. The solids are then skimmed from the surface of the tank.
