Objective

This course is designed to train operators in the practical aspects of operating and maintaining membrane bioreactor processes with an emphasis on safe practices and procedures. Information is presented on membrane bioreactor systems, facility safety, process control parameters, commissioning, treatment trains, preliminary treatment flow equalization, bioreactor configurations and operation, disinfection, sludge handling, system maintenance, and troubleshooting.
