10. Plant Operation Objectives
Following completion of Chapter 10, students should be able to:

Chapter 10 will help students accomplish these objectives by instructing them how to:

- Apply chemicals and adjust dosages.
- Prepare operating reports and records.
- Maintain equipment and facilities.
- Develop daily operating procedures for their plant.
- Respond to emergency conditions.
- Handle consumer complaints.
- Implement energy conservation measures.
The main purpose of this chapter is to teach operators how to safely operate and maintain water treatment plants.
